The 2023/24 FAB formally met with EFC for the first time this season on 9 August 2023.
EFC interim CEO, Colin Chong, provided updates on several areas including:
This was followed by a presentation from the EFC Senior Lead for Equity & Inclusion, Ben Osu. The presentation covered some of the initiatives undertaken in the last calendar year that engaged with over 200,000 members of the community.
Richard Kenyon, the EFC Chief Commercial and Communications Officer, then explained some of the background and information that shaped the recently-announced partnership with Ticketmaster.
The meeting then progressed to the Premier League’s Fan Engagement Standard, in which Director of Engagement and Communications (Scott McLeod) explained that all clubs were to respond with a Fan Engagement Plan. This aim of these plans is to highlight the structured dialogue, and further fan engagement activities, that clubs undertake and plan to deliver during the 2023/24 season. The EFC Fan Engagement Plan will be published during August 2023.
In response to the FAB requesting an update on EFC’s international strategy, assurances were provided that the current strategy was long-term and nothing had changed.

The FAB had also requested an update relating to revenue generation and this was provided by Richard Kenyon. He explained how the Club benchmarks against Premier League competitors and provided further context to the recent commercial update sent to Evertonians. Richard also provided insight into the commercial strategy, which included leveraging opportunities afforded by the new stadium.
The FAB requested an update regarding the Premier League’s referral to an independent commission and the Club confirmed that they cannot legally comment on the matter and referred to a previous Club statement from February.
